Dogs I work with fall into three categories;

    1. Bad Behavior. These are pets that have become a problem for the owner because of certain aspects of the pets behavior. The owner pinpoints the issue, not me. What I would perceive as a behavior problem, the owner might not, and vice-versa. My philosophy is that any animal can be saved, if the owner is willing to put in the work. I train using positive methods and do not recommend the use of choke or chain collars. The owner is the key to saving or rehabilitating an animal.
    2. Pet Selection. The client and I work together to select and train the right breed to match their lifestyle, physical and emotional needs.
    3. Rescue animals. I work with animals that have been given up due to aggression and/or socialization problems. These animals are usually biters (usually the fault of poor handling) and many people and organizations believe that they cannot be changed and must be euthanized. I have found that by working with the animal and finding homes where the temperament of the animal melds with that of the owner allows the dog to have a productive and loving life. These animals are very much misunderstood and have a lot of love to give. Please go to my Adoption/Rescue Page for more information.

I do not train or work with guard or attack dogs. These animals MUST only be trained by folks who specialize in this endeavor. I also recommend that these animals not be kept by the general population.

If you know of an abused animal or one that needs rescued, please contact your local ASPCA or e-mail me. Any info you send me is kept strictly confidential.
